This quote means that if you see a lot of people walking the same direction and you follow them, then that's wrong because they are choosing the wrong and if you follow them, then that means that they will lead you to trouble and misery because they are not choosing the right and they will lead you to the wrong side. For example, if you follow other people that go the same way and its wrong, then don't follow them just because theres a lot of people going the same direction, you should go the right direction and if there is no going where you are going, then that means that you are going the right path and if you are alone, then that doesn't matter because you are doing the right thing and its to do the right and follow the right.
