Speech Pathologist

Duties and Responsibilities: Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults. Social communication disorders are also found individuals with other conditions, such as traumatic brain injury.

Salary: $73,410 USD

Education:Earn a Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology. Every state's speech therapist licensurer equirements include a master's degree. A master's degree program in speech pathology introduces students to concepts such as voice articulation, phonology, literacy, and neurological substrates.

Demand: Employment of speech-language pathologists is projected to grow 18 percent from 2016 to 2026, much faster than the average for all occupations. As the large baby-boom population grows older, there will be more instances of health conditions that can cause speech or language impairments, such as strokes or dementia.

Reflection: I would not like to become a Speech Pathologist because i'm not interested in that kind of stuff and i am interested into some other kind of career which i am interested in.
