I think this quote in my opinion means is that if you have character and help someone that is an injury such as in a softball game and you help them out, then that means that you are a doing a good thing and that mostly some people wont do nice things because they don't want to or they just don't care about you having a injury. For example, if i see someone get a knee or leg injury and that person is from the other team which we are up against, then i would help him/her up because some wont do nothing and just wont care but i would something right even without knowing i was doing something right, but even though i would still help them up so they can do the same thing to others or to me when i suffer an accident of some type of injury.
