Physical Therapy Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities:Physical therapist assistants help physical therapists provide care to patients. Under the direction and supervision of physical the rapists, they give therapy through exercise, massage, gait and balance training, and therapeutic modalities, such as electrical stimulation and ultrasound.

Salary: $42,980 USD

Education:Physical therapist assistant (PTAeducation, obtained in a CAPTE-accredited two-year associate degree program, prepares graduates for taking the national licensure examination and entering the field of physical therapy with the required knowledge, skills, and behaviors of a PTA.

Demand:There is a high demand for physical therapist assistants in the workforce despite the economic downturn. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of physical therapists is expected to grow by 40 percent from 2014 to 2024, much faster than the average for all occupations.

Reflection: I would not like to become a physical therapy assistant because i don't like helping other people that much and I'm not a social person to have that job and work with it.
