This quote means that if you always do good, then that means that you will always be respected and if do the wrong thing and instead the right thing, then that means that you will will not be respected or look like a good man or woman. For example, if you see someone drop their wallet and you pick up the wallet and give it back to its rightful owner, then that makes you a good person but if you see someone drop their wallet and you pick it up and take it for yourself, then that makes you a bad and no good person because if you do that, you will be punished in the future with something that you would not want to have.
