This quote means that if you don't have goal for anything, then that means that you won't be helpful or useful in the future and mostly everyone has a goal that they want to accomplish. And its like being in a football field because football players run to the touchdown which would be their goal that they want to accomplish and if they didn't have a goal to accomplish, then there would never be a touchdown on the field and they would just keep going and never stop or win something. For some people, they might think that it is hard for them but it is simply easy for anyone to invent and reach for that goal that they want to accomplish and for those people that dint care or even want to make a or reach a goal, then that means that they don;t care about their lives in the future and just by not doing that can ruin you life in a few  years or so. People that make a goal will be successful and they will have a good life and rest in peace because they don't have to accomplish another goal because they finished what they have started.
